BlueScope Steel Vietnam Starts Production Ahead of Schedule

BlueScope Steel today announced it had commenced first production from its new metallic coating line in Vietnam ahead of schedule. The line is part of a state-of-the-art metallic coating and painting facility being built in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, south of Ho Chi Minh City at a cost of A$160 million.

BlueScope Steel Welcomes NSW Government Support for Potential Investments at Port Kembla Steelworks

BlueScope Steel welcomes the announcement by the NSW Government today that it has granted planning approval for two important potential investments, the Blast Furnace Reline Project and the Cold Mill Upgrade Project, under consideration by the Company for its Port Kembla Steelworks. Obtaining this support from the NSW Government is an important milestone along the path towards the Company eventually making decisions about these investments.
