BlueScope Steel has today been advised by Cheung Kong Infrastructure (CKI) that CKI's application for New Zealand overseas investment consent to acquire BlueScope Steel's New Zealand Taharoa Iron Sands Business has been declined under New Zealand's Overseas Investment Act 2005.
