Paul O'Malley
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer
BCom, M. App Finance, ACA Mr O'Malley became Managing Director and CEO on 1 November 2007, and a Director of the Board in August, 2007. He joined the Company as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in December, 2005, and in this role was responsible for leading the Company’s finance and IT functions including mergers and acquisitions, treasury, tax, accounting, audit and investor relations. Mr O'Malley was formerly the CEO of TXU Energy, a subsidiary of TXU Corp based in Dallas, Texas, and held other senior management roles within TXU including Senior Vice President and Principal Financial Officer and, based in Melbourne, Chief Financial Officer of TXU Australia. Before joining TXU, Mr O'Malley worked in investment banking and consulting.

Charlie Elias
Chief Financial Officer
BA Accounting, ACA Mr Elias joined BlueScope Steel as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in March 2008. He is responsible for finance, treasury, taxation, supply, investor relations, investments, audit and insurance. Prior to this, he was CFO and Director for Linfox Group and CFO, Director and General Manager Strategy and Business Development for TXU Australia. He began his career with Deloitte Consulting as a Senior Consultant. Mr Elias is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Mark Vassella
Chief Executive, BlueScope Australia and New Zealand
BCom, MBA Mark Vassella was appointed to his current role on 1 July 2011. He leads all major operations in Australia and New Zealand including the Company’s key operations at Port Kembla (NSW) and Western Port (VIC), and in New Zealand, the New Zealand Steel business in Glenbrook, south of Auckland. Previously, Mr Vassella was President, BlueScope Steel North America and before that was Chief Executive Australian Distribution and Solutions. He joined the Company following BlueScope’s acquisition of Smorgon Steel Distribution in 2007.

Sanjay Dayal
Chief Executive, BlueScope Steel Asia
B. Chemical Engineering Mr Dayal commenced as Chief Executive Asia on 5 January 2009. He is responsible for leading BlueScope Steel's businesses in Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and the Company's joint venture with Tata Steel in India. Prior to joining BlueScope Steel, Mr Dayal was General Manager, Manufacturing and Supply Chain for Orica Mining Services where he managed its Asia division. Mr Dayal is based at BlueScope Steel's Asia regional headquarters in Singapore.

Bob Moore
President, China
Dip.Eng. (Civil) Mr. Moore was appointed President China on the 1st October 2007, with responsibility for BlueScope Steel's Coated business in China, as well as the BlueScope Buildings businesses of Butler, Lysaght, Residential and Panels. Before this role, Mr Moore was President Lysaght Australia, President OneSteel Distribution and various downstream General Management roles in BHP Steel.

Keith Mitchelhill
President, BlueScope North America
B. Ec., MBA Mr Mitchelhill was appointed President, BlueScope North America on 1 July 2011 and is based in Kansas City, Missouri. He is responsible for the Company’s businesses in the North American markets including BlueScope Buildings North America, Steelscape, ASC Profiles, Metl-Span and the North Star BlueScope Steel joint venture. Prior to this, Mr Mitchelhill was Chief Executive, BlueScope Australian Distribution and Solutions, and before joining the Company, he was an Executive General Manager at Boral Limited. Mr Mitchelhill has been in the building products manufacturing industry since the early 1990s working in key marketing and management roles. He joined the Company in 2008.

Pat Finan
Executive General Manager Global Building and Construction Markets
BSc Civil Engineering Mr Finan was appointed Executive General Manager of Global Building and Construction Markets on 1 November 2010. In this role, he is responsible for global sales and promotion of BlueScope Steel's premium sustainable steel products and solutions in the building and construction market and pre-engineered building capability. He is also responsible for the Company’s Ranbuild, Kiteley, Highline, BlueScope Water and BlueScope Buildings Australia businesses. Mr Finan joined BlueScope Steel in 2004 and served as President of Butler Manufacturing before being named President BlueScope Buildings North America in 2008. Mr Finan is based at the Company's head office in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

Ian Cummin
Executive General Manager, People and Organisation Performance
BA (Politics) Mr Cummin joined BlueScope Steel in May 2003. He is responsible for the group management of human resources, corporate affairs, and safety. Previously, Mr Cummin had established a successful consulting practice after leaving Southcorp Limited, where he was Executive General Manager of Human Resources and Corporate Services from 1995 to 2001. Prior to Southcorp, he was Head of Human Resources for ICI Australia Ltd and he has also held senior human resources and industrial relations management positions in the energy, construction and resources industries.

Michael Barron
Chief Legal Officer and Company Secretary
BEc, LLB Mr Barron joined BlueScope Steel in 2002 and has responsibility for legal affairs and for Company Secretarial matters. Prior to joining BlueScope Steel, Mr Barron held the position of Group General Counsel of Orica Limited where he was employed for 16 years, holding a variety of legal positions in Australia and overseas. His responsibilities at Orica Limited included membership of the executive team and management of the company secretarial, corporate affairs and internal audit functions.
